Farewell, Loyola

October 24, 2012
You can't say yes to something unless you're ready to say no to something else. Vilma Sealaus, O.C.D.

While the discernment began long ago, the physical journey started today, on a bittersweet note, when I said goodbye to Loyola University Maryland, beloved students and colleagues, and most likely, my career in campus ministry.

I’m grateful to the Interns in Campus Ministry for a most-thoughtful farewell, complete with a slideshow of secretly dug up photos, a stack of personal letters, an Alumni Chapel blanket for my next office in the Tundra, a hand-made c.d. for the road, and of course, chocolate cake!

It’s easier to say, “Goodbye for now!”, so that’s what we did.
